Want to be part of our global growth story - read on…About the roleFinance sits at the very heart of WorldRemit. In addition to the normal monthly functions of every finance team, the team at WorldRemit is responsible for ensuring that the flow of funds from sender to receiver works in a timely, cost-efficient and effective manner.As WorldRemit expands its global footprint, new send countries require new legal entities, new bank accounts as well as the setting up of ledgers, payrolls and processes. The Financial Reporting Analyst is a key participant in ensuring this is done professionally and, once set up, handed on to the relevant teams.As a member of WorldRemit’s Finance team you will aim high, embrace challenge and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s technical direction and long term decision making.Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will:

  • Take ownership of all business activity reporting for regional entities;
  • Perform reconciliations and post journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately, timely;
  • Drive close of general ledger in accordance with month end cadence;
  • Support departments & finance business partners on financial accounting matters, including accuracy of results across departments and commentary on material entries;
  • Work with finance teams to streamline and standardise month-end processes; and
  • Seek to constantly improve and implement best practice within the team
  • What we’re looking for from you...
  • Part qualified accountant
  • Good academics (min 2:1) with strong A levels;
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, be able to operate with ambiguity;
  • Strong excel skills
