Analytics and data science are core to the Groups strategy, and this team, are at the forefront of implementingthese for stakeholders up to board level, as well as championing the culture of "staying curious" and utilising the latest technology.The team develops, implements, and validates various models that help determine the structure of the balance sheet. The team maintains core Finance systems (QRM, Anaplan, Quantum) and Finances data strategy. It also works as gateway to IT and Transformationto drive and support future improvements across Finance.It is an enjoyable and exciting, ever-changing area to work in, and at the heart of Finance and the wider Groups business.The role of Financial Modeller - QRM is really important to us. It is a varied, interesting and exciting role which will suit a quantitatively-minded financial professional, with strong attention-to-detail and a pro-active, can-do attitude. You will be oneof the System development SMEs for Aldermore with QRM specialty, and once up to speed, will be responsible for developing and implementing models in QRM system and making changes and fixes as they arise. The system underpins a number Finances activities (incl.ALM, Regulatory Reporting, Hedge Accounting and Forecasting), so you will quickly become expert on the components of the groups balance sheet. In particular, you will own the implementations of the financial models used within QRM for areas such as Liquidity,FTP, Market Risk, Prepayment, Deposit Retention and Inflows, as well as understanding how the entire system is implemented.When the time is right, we would love to welcome you to our London office. In the meantime you will be based remotely. Youll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, Head of Modelling and Analytics, and colleagues through regular contactand virtual interaction . What would your day look like

• Being one of the banks QRM SMEs - a go-to person for any QRM queries on feasibility, best practice and design
• Contributing to or owning aspects of QRM development - requirements gathering, design and build, UAT, project management, governance and documentation
• Training and assisting other advanced QRM users at Aldermore - how to get the best from the system, as well as explaining the inner workings where necessary
• Building strong working relationships with all QRM stakeholders, from daily users to senior management
• Contributing to model and data validation, development and design within the wider team
• Being an important member of the modelling and analytics team - occasionally working on other projects which utilize your skills and interests outside QRM

What do we expect of you

• A high level of expertise with QRM or similar ALM systems, with demonstrable experience in developing in a professional capacity
• Knowledge and experience of ALM and Balance Sheet Management
• Experience within Financial Services in a similar role, preferably at a retail bank/building society, whether as a consultant, contractor or in-house
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, pro-active, can-do attitude and team player
• Highly numerate with a good grounding in STEM subjects
