Job Description

Financial ControllerSeries B SaaS scaleupCity (when back in the office) £70/75kTalentedge are exclusively working with a VC backed (Series B) SaaS scaleup on a crucial role within their expanding finance team.Youll be great for this opportunity if you are able to have an instant impact; upskilling the level of financial reporting to support continued international expansion.Key responsibilities to include:

  • Lead the day-to-day finance function:
    • Adapting financial processes and governance, to create best in class control environment to support the increasing scale of the business, looking to continuously improve both efficiency and effectiveness and ensuring balance sheet visibility in a fast-growthbusiness
    • Be a true business partner to the Commercialand Operational teams, providing guidance to enable effective and sound allocation of resources
    • Prepare the monthly board pack including consolidated management accounts with analysis and commentaries
    • Statutory reporting and tax work, including VAT and R&D
    • Ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment of SaaS contracts
    • Mentor a team consisting of Management Accountant (Q) and two Finance Assistants (PQ)
    • Proactively improve processes and controls to streamline and maximise efficiencies, using technology where possible to automate
    • Support CFO and FP&A Lead on:
      • Financial planningBudgeting, forecasting, pricing, KPI analysis
      • Future fundraising activities
  • Support on an upcoming ERP implementation (highly likely NetSuite)
Profile:
  • Technically strong accountant with consolidations experience
  • Experience of working within a high growth SaaS business
  • Previous exposure to using Xero software as well as additional bolt-ons. NetSuite exposure is the icing on the cake
  • US accounting is advantageous however by no means essential
