Job Description

Financial Controller - Deputy CFO - Private BankingExcellent opportunity opens for an experiencedFinance Professionalto manage the financial, accounting, operational and administration functions of a growingPrivate Bank.Ensuring that the financial controls, regulationsand plans of the bank are met in a timely manner, you will report to and work alongside the Chief Financial Officer.This role is designed to develop the individual into the CFO.Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards by ensuring that proper accounting records are maintained.
  • Manage and oversee thatstatutory financial reporting, such asFCA/PRA,Bank of England, VAT and Corporation Tax is prepared and submitted within set timeframes.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, standards and regulations relating to the Bank’s financial reporting and accounting function.
  • Responsible for monitoring capital adequacy including the preparation and submission annually of the Bank’sICAAPdocument and monitor the adequacy of liquidity in compliance withFCA/PRArequirements and report to MD/ALCO.
  • Report risks identified to relevant bodies immediately in writing including suggested counter measures.
  • Manage financial procedures.
  • Prepare PublishedIFRS Accountsand supporting information for External Auditors.
  • Manage and oversee preparation of annual budget with input from General Management, Treasury, branches, and departments.
  • Provide financial input into the business development plans to ensure that proposed projects are commercially viable.
  • Management of Financial Control and Accounts.
  • Manage the Treasury Back Office function.
