Job Description

Anthony Cole Associates are pleased to be partnering with a nationwide Property/Real Estate organisation that supply essential services to the country.Due to ongoing development of the company, they are looking to hire a Financial Controller to join them asap in 2022 initially on a 12-18m FTC to work directly for the CFO and be responsible for overseeing the finance function on a day-to-day basis as wellas driving transformational change. This will be a challenging but highly rewarding role, that could well lead to longer term opportunities for the right candidate. This role will be REMOTE BASED, however the ability to travel to the clients offices in London/The Midlands from time to time would be helpful.The Financial Controller will be responsible for:-

  • Managing the statutory accounting for the organisation, under UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Managing/overseeing the finance & transactions teams
  • Overseeing the audit process, and working with the CFO on the audit retendering
  • Mapping the current finance processes and team structures, driving efficiencies, re-designing/implementing new procedures
  • Assessing the current finance systems in place, looking at ways to improve them and/or presenting a business case to source/implement a package thats more fit-for-purpose
To be considered for this role, you will:-
  • Be an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with significant PQE, who has a strong Audit/Controls/Statutory accounting background & good technical proficiency in UKGAAP/IFRS
  • Possess significant experience from within the Property Management/Real Estate sector - THIS IS ESSENTIAL
  • Have demonstrable skills/experience in transformational finance, restructuring teams & systems development/implementation
  • Be a strong leader, who has excellent people skills and experience working with challenging stakeholders
