Job Description

This newly created Financial Controller will form a key part of the Finance team in this membership-based tech scale-up in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain space. They roll will report directly into the CFO and be paying up to £100,000depending on experience and currently operating a 4 day a week in the office with a discretionary bonus. Located in the West End, London.RoleThis Financial Controller Role will head up the overall function and have 1 direct and 1 indirect report. It is a top-to-bottom role covering both the technical and operational aspects, with a significant focus on Financial Planning and Analysis and driving the success of the team via streamlining and automating processes.Key responsibilities included.

  • Production of monthly accounts and reports to assess the financial performance of the business and reporting on KPIs
  • Financial accounting and year end reporting including group consolidation
  • Cost control, analysis and reporting
  • Group tax and corporate structures
  • Accounting systems development and integration with other enterprise systems e.g. SalesForce, HR and payroll systems
  • Cash and treasury management
  • Payroll processing for all our UK and US employees
  • Commercial and employment contracts drafting/review
  • General ledger management and reconciliations
  • Statutory accounts production and corporate tax returns
ProfileThe Financial Controller Role for this Tech scale-up is ideally looking for:
  • A Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
  • Proven FP&A experience
  • Membership/Tech/ experience required
  • Multi-currency experience preferred
  • Experience in a SAAS/subscription based business an advantage
  • 5+ years accounting experience in a commercial environment (not practice-based)
  • Fast growth/start-up experience
  • Funding rounds and/or business sale experience is an advantage
  • Ideally US company/subsidiary experience + reporting
  • Strong analytical skills around reporting, KPIs, cross functional analysis, business dashboards and model development.
