Job Description

Equifind have partnered with a global asset management business to assist them with their search for a financial controller to join the team in London.You will manage a small team and be responsible for the monthly financial and statutory reports for the UK entities in the business.A great opportunity for someone to lend their experience and become a valued member of a fantastic company.Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include but limited to:

  • Manage the operational daily duties for the UK team which includes cash management, VAT returns, HMRC reporting, intercompany billing, and payments
  • Responsible for the statutory audits and liaise with other entities for the group consolidation
  • Prepare the financial statements for the group
  • Responsible for all UK tax compliance with respect to VAT, corporation tax and other required fillings
  • Assist with the preparation of the UK entity budgets
  • Prepare the London branch budgets and forecasts for the year
  • Take a lead role in projects relating to new system implementation for the business
  • Ad hoc projects as and when requested by senior management
Experience & Qualifications
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5-8 years PQE
  • Experience of Sun Systems is beneficial
  • Experience of reporting under FRS102 is beneficial
  • Experience of financial or professional services sector
  • Experience of managing teams
  • Strong communication & excel skills
About the businessAn international asset management organisation that has evolved over the years to become a global name in this field, with an operational focus on long term investment strategies which include private equity, real estate, and equities.The organisation has around 50 employees in the London office, and you will join a group finance team of 20+. This is a hybrid opportunity, where you will be required to be in the office 2-3 days per week to integrate with the wider finance team to gaina strong understanding of the financial reporting.The working culture is highly professional but offers a great social feel that creates a very enjoyable place to work. We will be looking for someone who loves to interact with others and has a proven track record in managing the financial reporting fora group.Rate/SalaryThis exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £85k-£115k depending on industry background and experience.
