Job Description

TheRole: Financial Analyst The Grade/Level: (relevant for internal applicants only) 10 The Location: Englewood, CO; USA Remote; New York, NY; London, England The Impact: This position will work alongside the financial directors to ensure all monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting and analysis is delivered timely and accurately to facilitate enterprise-wide business decisions. Opportunity to establish a network and relationship with Finance professionalsand other business contacts across S&P Global. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monthly close process by consolidating divisional results and developing variance analysis by collaborating with divisional finance teams, which will be presented to executive management teams
  • Support the monthly estimate process by consolidating divisional estimates, investigating expense drivers in divisional submissions, and developing extensive reporting templates to be presented to executive management teams
  • Partner with colleagues across the organization on projects such as system implementation and enterprise dashboards
  • Participate in the preparation of S&Ps annual operating plan by establishing and communicating timeline and deliverables as well as compiling the baseline plan versions and scenarios
  • Drive continuous process improvement with the goal of increasing efficiency and optimizing the distribution of work through automation, leveraging of centers of excellence, among other solutions
  • Provide thorough and accurate responses to executive level managements inquiries
  • Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects
What Were Looking For:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • 1+ years of relevant experience including but not limited to accounting and financial analysis, and/or senior executive exposure and support
  • Experience in financial modelling and comfortable managing complicated financial data sets
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective communications (good verbal skills, listening techniques, and a clear, concise writing style)
  • Ideate and help optimize manual financial reporting processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in financial and forecast systems is a plus (e.g. Oracle Smartview, Anaplan)
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $59,800 to $108,100. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
