An exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a fast-growing content platform focused on creating, financing, and distributing high end films and tv series.The company is a small, creative, and multi-cultural group with a highly collaborative environment.The Financial Accountant role will report into the Group Financial Controller and covers all aspects of the businesses financial accounting with specific support for delivery of their financial statements across multiple entities. The role is part of a smallgroup finance team, working closely with the investment team and with production accountants.The role is based in London with potential for remote work 2 days a week.The Finance Accountant job responsibilities will involve:* Preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements for all entities * The preparation of IFRS Group financial statements * Deliver all audited financial statements to statutory deadlines * Key point of contact between the statutory audit team and finance teams to deliver and complete audit requests in a timely, accurate and complete manner * Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of group financial accounting policies * Review, interpretation, and application of accounting standards changes and/or accounting standards to be implemented in relation to new/one-off transactions across the UK group * Input into commercial impact assessments on technical accounting change * Be a key point of contact across all finance teams with regards to technical and financial reporting queries * Preparation of financial information deliverable to the group tax team and tax advisors enabling the preparation of corporation tax returns * Review of tax returns* Provision of financial information for various other tax submissions/reports etc * Liaising with the legal team over key deadlinesThe candidate:* Newly qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) * Degree educated with excellent academics* Strong knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102* Excellent in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables & Formulas)* Be a good collaborator* Communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholdersThis is a truly unique role for a newly qualified accountant to join a fast growing Media business and make an impact.
