Job Description

Would you be interested in working for a pioneering organisation at the forefront of advancing data science and artificial intelligence A truly unique opportunity has become available to do just that, in a pivotal role project managing the end-to-end procurement,testing and implementation of a new finance system!Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting into the COO and, as the key member of the Finance System Replacement project team, taking the lead on the vendor selection and tender process, and on setting the project scope, requirements, deliverables and documentation framework
  • Understanding user and process requirements and making recommendations against the requirements where necessary, to ensure effective solutions are delivered
  • Managing the data migration process and ensuring all finance-related systems and processes are seamlessly incorporated or integrated
  • Managing the training and onboarding support to users to ensure a successful go-live, and engaging in post go-live activities to provide continuous support
  • Ensuring an effective stakeholder engagement strategy and communications plan is developed and delivered, and project and budget progress is reported regularly to the Board
The successful candidate will:
  • Have a Prince2 and/or APM certificate with significant, proven experience of project managing end-to-end system implementation projects
  • Be either a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or have the equivalent level of accounting knowledge and understanding
  • Have worked with a number of finance systems (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains would be a benefit, but is not essential)
  • Be experienced setting the full project plan, managing the project budget, and reporting on the project progress at Board level
