Job Description

We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading Multi- Academy Trust, who are currently recruiting for Finance Officer to join the team on a interim four month basis, with the potential for extension past this point.Whats on offer:The role is 35 hours per week (9am - 5pm with 30 minute lunch break) with hybrid working. The hourly rate for this role is negotiable dependant on experience.The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS and have experience working within the Education sector.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Raising and sending termly SEN invoices to LAs and other educational bodies
  • Reconciling customer accounts to ensure outstanding balances are complete and accurate
  • Sending statements to debtors and correspond to chase any unpaid debt (by phone, email, letter etc) on a weekly basis
  • Ensuring the purchasing process is correctly followed by the schools
  • Ensuring correct G/L coding and adequate description
  • Ensuring all supplier invoices are scanned and matched with the PO
  • Ensuring all credit card transactions are fully processed, with invoices / receipts scanned and processed via SIMS Finance
  • Reconciling supplier accounts to ensure outstanding balances are complete and accurate
Experience required:
  • Education experience
  • AAT - desirable
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Good communication & organisation skills
  • Ability to work in a sole capacity with minimal supervision
Working hours
  • 35 hours per week 9am - 5pm (30 minute lunch break)
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid working: 3 day on site per week - no set days
