Job Description

A global real estate developer and investor is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team as soon as possible.This organisation manages a significant amount of well known real estate assets and is involved in a number of new developments so if you are a real estate experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant who has experience working within an SME environment this could be a great role for you.The key objective of this Finance Manager role is to manage all accounting and financial affairs for the business whilst ensuring maintenance of the current assets and identify opportunities for profit & revenue enhancement as well as assisting senior management with financial decision making.For this Finance Manager role you will ideally have experience with real estate development finance,experience preparing feasibility studies and have negotiated further funding with banks or lendersKey Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating refinancing and real estate development financing
  • Harvesting strong and professional relationships within the banking sector
  • Preparing feasibility studies for new developments to present to banks
  • Ensure all accounting records are correctly and timely recorded inline with correct accounting principles (UK GAAP)
  • Financial Reporting including production of Financial Statements
  • Ensure VAT returns are submitted on time and accurately
  • Corporate tax, provided the relevant information necessary
  • Prepare statutory accounts
  • Prepare budgets and cashflow statements and working capital as required and manage the cashflow
  • Perform budget to variance analysis reports
  • Safeguard contracts and agreements
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors and manage the process
    • Key Skills & Experience:
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Real Estate or Property Accounting experience
  • Relationships with lenders and banks
  • Real Estate Development Financing experience
  • Need to have worked in an SME or Family Office style environment
  • At least 8 years worth of accounting and finance experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders across different disciplines
  • High level communications skills both verbal and written
  • Team Management skills
  • Proactive and ability to meet multiple deadlines
    • This Finance Manager role will require someone to be based in the office 5 days a week as its a small close knit team. As a Finance Manager in this role you will be responsible for managing another staff member too.
