Job Description

An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions businesses need to navigate todays changing world.Role PurposeTo assist and support the DRAS National Stream SBU in managing the financial performanceof the stream on strategic issues and on a day-to-day basis as well as providing relevant support, advice and guidance to the overall team within the business unit on financial matters.Principal Accountabilities Regular liaison with the central Finance function,overseeing the month end and year end processes Overseeing regular management reporting Overseeing the annual budget for the overall stream, coordinating with local SBUs liaising with relevant personnel and the central Finance team as appropriate and overseeingthe input of the data into the Firms budget model Coordination with the DRAS Finance Partner and Operations Manager on a continuous basis, and regular communication with the Joint Heads of DRAS Working Capital management for the group - ensuring that bills,provisions, recoveries and cash collections are managed effectively and efficiently; challenging performance in these areas where required and agreeing appropriate action to take when issues arise Agreeing and taking ownership of KPIs for DRAS Driving standardisationof MI and preparation of monthly packs Championing the ongoing implementation of Workday to ensure the system is being used consistently and efficiently across the stream. Leading the 4R process to provide critical evaluation and drive consistency Monthlyfinancial analysis and reporting to the DRAS heads and the Group Financial Controller to enable informed planning and decision making. Including budget, rolling forecast, key performance indicators and analysis of variances Trend analysis with timely identificationof causes of risks/ problems with prompt suggestion for relevant actions, particularly including revenue, recoverability, staff utilisation, work in progress, debt Assist in the production and preparation of business plans and support DRAS in identifying anddeveloping strategy for the group and individual sub-streams; providing support in driving through these strategic decisions Other ad-hoc matters as required in support of the DRAS strategyRole skills requirements Commercially minded Analytical Ability tohandle/process confidential information in sensitive manner Project Management, team leadership and delegation skills with a collaborative, participative Approach and the ability to engage, inspire and influence people at all levels in the organisation Strongleadership and influencing skills to enable proactive relationships with business leaders Capable of contributing to the strategic agenda with strong operational skills Strong Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel Strong communication and presentation skillsQualified accountant or relevant financial experienceWere in it togetherAt BDO, we believe that when our people feel valued and rewarded, their potential is unlimited.
