My client is investing in the creation of in-house construction and housebuilding businesses to deliver its exciting program of refurbishment, conversion, and development of a range of its property assets. This role will be akin to joining a start-up businessbut with the financial strength of the parent company supporting its development. The finance manager will therefore be capable of acting on their own initiative to recommend and develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure effective financial managementand reporting in relation to these activities.The business is a dynamic, can-do, ambitious organization and they are looking for someone that can reflect and embrace these characteristics. The Finance Manager will receive a lot of support from the wider finance team but will hold the majority of responsibilityfor the newly created business.You will hold relationships with contractors, project managers, senior stakeholders and present findings back to the business. Be responsible for the overall accounting function, including month-end, cashflow forecasts, in-depth analysis, and technical reporting.This is a broad role where you will be able to develop at a tremendous rate.Ideally, we are looking for a qualified accountant (or QBE), with experience within the construction sectorThis is a great step up for someone who is looking to step into a more hands-on role and continue their development as an accountant.
