Job Description

Job title - Finance ManagerLocation - Central London (initially remote working)Duration - 4 Month daily rateSalary £350-£400 per day inside IR35The Badenoch + Clark are delighted to be partnering with a leading Government Agency linked with the NHS to recruit for a Finance Manager to assist with Year- end.This is a senior role requiring an advanced knowledge of complex NHS accounting system, Oracle and advanced financial accounting skills.The post holder will support the Senior Manager Financial services with regards to the overall effective management, performance and delivery of the statutory financial accounts.The post holder will provide support to the overall management of key financial accounting areas such as income, payments, credit control, treasury management and procurement again through the contract with NHS. Responsibilities:*The post holder will support the completion of monthly balance sheet information and complete returns for the Department of Health and Social Care.*Effective maintenance of financial accounting activities in line with statutory accounting standard and policies, managing public money. *Provide effective cash flow management and cash flow forecasting.*The post holder will advise senior managers on financial accounting and procurement matters and policies and respond professionally to queries regarding financial issues. *The post holder would be responsible for developing and delivering formal, complex financial information to senior managers as well as the Chief Executive and Director of Finance (i.e. multi-faceted business cases). *The post holder also needs to convey technical issues to non-finance managers across the business to ensure adherence to policies and legislation. This will include ensuring their advice is clearly understood and implemented.*The post holder will be a senior point of contact with the outsourced payroll service and would need to be responsible for reconciling complex payroll discrepancies.*Analyses highly complex and sensitive information relating to production of financial and statutory accounts requiring detailed knowledge of accounting standards and their interpretation. *The post holder would be responsible for managing cashflow of the organisation and ensuring that cash is always available to meet commitments. *The post holder would advise budget holders on actions to manage capital expenditure across the organisation and hold responsibility for effective treasury.What youll need to succeed*CCAB qualification (which is equivalent to a Post Graduate Degree) or significant equivalent practical experience*Plus significant specialist knowledge and expertise post CCAB qualification across a number of subject areas specifically financial accounting, IFRS, legislation relevant within the NHS and wider government*Expert knowledge of accounting and financial procedures.*Significant experience of working within a Senior Finance team *Adept at devising and delivering accounting and financial procedures of training programmes.*Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and interpret complex information for both internal and external audiencesIf you are interested in being considered for this role please send your updated CV to the advert for immediate consideration.Badenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
