Job Description

Are you experienced in maintaining fixed asset registers and looking for a new challenge Do you have a background working in the social housing or property development sector, now looking to work for one of the most recognisable names in the field Areyou excited about the prospect of contributing to the future growth of an organisation who has recently been through an exciting period of change If yes, look no further!This recognisable social housing developer are currently seeking a Finance Manager (Capital) to join their high performing team on a permanent basis. Reporting into a brilliant Head of Finance, this role will manage a team of 5 across all things capital,grants, investments and component accounting.The key duties of this Finance Manager (Capital) role are as follows:

  • Ensure tight financial management of the fixed asset register, ensuring it is kept up to date.
  • Take the lead in the management of the grants register, tracking all grant compliance to ensure spends are being made in line with contractual terms.
  • Full responsibility for the provision of the depreciation budget on an annual basis, feeding the data into the Head of Finance for consolidation into the main budget.
  • Provide critical support in the year end audit process, being a key point of contact for external Auditors for all queries relating to Capital.
  • Ensure the timely provision of monthly figures to the central finance time for consolidation into the management accounts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, reviewing their work and providing opportunities for upskilling and professional development as far as possible.

  • A full accountancy qualification.
  • Experience maintaining a fixed asset register made up of complex components.
  • A background working in the social housing, real estate or similar property sector.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Demonstrable experience working with and manipulating large data sets.
