Job Description

An exciting Finance Manager opportunity has arisen with a cutting-edge online Fashion Retail organisation located in Wimbledon, London. A Fashion brand with a strong purpose at its core that operates as a social enterprise business and has undergone a recent period of growth and transition. It is now looking fora dynamic, commercial-minded, Finance Manager to take the brand forward.Key Responsibilities - Finance Manager

  • Manage one member of staff who will support in the bank reconciliations, market place and logistics admin of a retail business.
  • Effectively plan, report and analyse the short and long-term financial performance of the business and communicate regularly to the owner and the team.
  • Deliver day-to-day operations across all areas of finance.
  • Provide commercial analysis on all aspects of the business to aid decision-making in delivering the long-term strategy.
  • Oversee the production of the monthly Management accounts and Board review in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Deliver quarterly forecasts to benchmark financial performance.
  • Monitor KPI performance and challenge the business to be financially efficient.
  • Ensure payments and financial processes are effectively managed.
  • Monitor foreign currency and hedge appropriately.
  • Be focused on profit targets by championing and implementing a programme of Continuous Improvement within the business.
  • Understand all the levers that affect margin and unit economics, and look for areas to improve this within product, payments, the supply chain and any other areas where erosion occurs or where opportunities lie.
  • Help establish processes that will enable us to speed up the road to sustainable profitability.
Skills & Qualifications - Finance Manager
  • A qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA
  • Retail experience Fashion is desirable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong process skills
  • Confident communicator
  • Commercial mindset and approach
  • Proactive and challenging
  • Dynamic and ambitious
