Job Description

Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join an Iconic Retail Business in London on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The role offers £55,000 - £59,000 depending on experience plus benefits. This role is hybrid working four days in theoffice and one day from home.The Finance Manager will supervise the daily operations of the finance team, ensuring financial control within the business and accurate, timely completion of all financial deliverables.Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial ledgers and oversee accounting processes, including invoicing, S/L, A/P, GL, inventory, and revenue recognition.
  • Manage Balance Sheet and Working Capital.
  • Prepare Audit and Tax workings to support the Head of Finance.
  • Enhance the recording and analysis process for sales, cost of sales, gross margin, overheads, stocks of finished goods, and the balance sheet.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Recommend changes for improved financial controls using a financial control framework.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate policy.
  • Ensure accounting policies align with relevant standards and group policies.
  • Lead the year-end close process and prepare supporting documentation for the annual audit.
  • Lead and manage the finance function, overseeing the operational finance team.
To be suitable for this role you must have the following:
  • Part or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Retail experience is desirable.
  • SAP knowledge is essential as well as IT literacy.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Great energy with a positive attitude.
