Job Description

Finance Manager - Marble Arch , London - £ 50,000 - £ 55,000 + benefits FryerMiles is partnering with a charity organisation in Marble Arch, London, to recruit a Finance Manager. This organisation is in the fortunate position of being in the Top 15 to 20 Charities in the UK. The charity offers a unique type of services and hadbeen recognised with many awards.Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to move into this newly created role to support the change and growth within the organisation. The successful candidate will report directly into the Head of Finance and work closely with other senior stakeholders.This role is made even more interesting as although its a small organisation, it operates more like a small conglomerate due to its diverse functions. These functions look at 2 core areas and you will interact with a wide variety of individuals.. An importantpart of the role to manage these external providers and ensure they are fully compliant with the timely delivery of agreed financial and other requirements.They will also be responsible for general finance duties including:

  • Preparing and updating Management Accounts/reporting, investigate variances to identify efficiencies and improvements and to take remedial actions.
  • Provide support and co-ordinate annual budget, reforecasts.
  • Examine financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will be critical in ensuring all SAGE activity with the organisation is accurate and delivered to a high standard.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Bank and SAGE with client statements
The successful candidate will assist the Head of Finance and at times the CEO, as well as managing the Finance team. You will have the ability to support the non-finance budget holders and train them in how to better use their new financial reports. Experiencewith Sage 50 system would be advantageous.You will be hands-on and enthusiastic, with previous experience working within a detailed environment. You will possess an inquisitive mind-set, be enthusiastic, proactive and enjoy working with people, with the ability to take ownership of problems andseek to propose solutions.Our client seeks an accomplished finance professional who is a qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA with a strong technical background.The role offers generous benefits and flexibility including.
