Job Description

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a leading renewable energy firm on the recruitment of a Finance Manager.This company, based in London, has a proven track record in the industry and has a strong pipeline of projects in development, leading to plenty of future opportunities in this role.Culture wise you will be joining a professional and talented team who is committed to combatting climate change, so you will need to have experience or an interest in this area.This role would suit a qualified Accountant with 5 years post qualified experience who has experience managing a portfolio of entities and managing finance staff.Renewable Energy or Independent Power Production experience will be highly desirable for this role.Day to day of this Finance Manager role:

  • Manage a team of financial accountants, conducting regular performance reviews, 1-1s, providing support, coaching, monitoring the deployment of resources and onboarding
  • Lead preparation of regular reporting packs, annual budgets, monthly management accounts and consolidated financial statements
  • Manage outsourced service providers
  • Coordinate statutory audits for a portfolio of companies
  • Treasury and Debt Compliance
  • Preparing and reporting group cash flow for a portfolio of companies
  • Deal with lender compliance, prepare utilisation/drawdown requests and ensuring sufficient cash in reserves
Required Skills and Qualifications for this Finance Manager role:
  • Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA, with 5+ years PQE and graduate with 1st class academics
  • Strong experience in management accounting and reporting in fast paced, growing businesses
  • Experience managing a portfolio of companies and responding to customer queries or requests
  • Exposure/experience within the renewable energy or energy sector
  • Project finance or lender engagement experience and comfortable working with complex financial models
  • Excellent people manager with experience supporting and motivating finance professionals
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Must be hands-on, multi-tasker with excellent time management skills able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Foreign language skills would be an advantage in Dutch, German, Polish and Swedish

  • Salary per annum: £75,000-£85,000 per annum
