Job Description

Finance Manager position

  • General: This is and will be a varied role in which the successful candidate will not only carry out many of the traditional responsibilities of a stand-alone school "bursar" (especially budgets, forecasts, monthly management accounts,management of sales/purchase ledger and payroll functions, credit control, financial planning and procurement) but also act as MPWs interface with the finance team of its holding company (Kaplan).
  • Group Finance: Compiling both financial and management accounts for all three schools and subsidiary businesses that include MPWs HK operation, a student accommodation business (KSS) and a standalone tutoring arm (JCE) that has a smallaccounting function.
  • Team supervision: An evolving role in which the successful candidate will take over supervision of MPWs internal finance team and develop. Based at head office the central team are responsible for MPW London (school) and group financematters (central payroll, group accounting, subsidiaries KSS, JCE and MPW HK).
