Finance Director | Fast-growth Gaming Startup | Hybrid LondonHarmonic Finance is proud to be recruiting on an exclusive, retained basis to find the next Finance Director for one of the UKs / Europes most influential virtual gaming start-ups. With a clear first to market advantage, prominent global clients andthe capability to enable companies to improve both their sustainability as well as their profits, the successful candidate will join the company after the closure of a large Seed round.With a strong runway, you will join as FD, alongside an entrepreneurial CEO who has an experienced background within several successful international companies. Revenue is forecast to grow substantially within the next 10 months and plans for larger institutionalfundraising within the next 18 months.The roleThe position is proportionately focused on commercial business partnering to deliver the companys business plan and strategy while playing a key role in embedding commercial goals. Although you will carry the ultimate responsibility of the BAU, financialmanagement, cost control and cash management you will be supported by a management accountant. As FD, you will be a valued contributor to senior leadership strategy through the preparation of detailed and incisive performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Overall, you will be supporting to deliver our ambitious business targets for 2023 and beyond, and lead the efforts to position the business for the next funding round to achieve our long-term growth plans.The successful candidate will therefore be tech-savvy, with a good understanding of tech scale-ups and what makes them great. While also having the ability to partner with the CEO to tweak the companys Operating Model as it continues to grow.Culture & WorkplaceThe company is presently working at a 3-day hybrid approach and is situated in one of the most amazing office spaces that fully reflects the culture. Applications are therefore welcome from candidates based anywhere in the United Kingdom, provided they areprepared to travel for 3 days a week.What we need to see (Essential):

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Recent experience as Finance Director or CFO within a successful tech startup
• Experience in fundraising via Venture Capital, Private Equity or as part of a team running the fundraise will be considered.
• Experience of working within an entrepreneurial start-up environment.
• Strong FP&A and Commercial Finance skills: you will be skilled at building models and forecasts and communicating complex financials
• Good cross-functional knowledge: our clients are growing quickly, and Finance isnt siloed as a department. In order to achieve your objectives, you will be required to finance business partner effectively with Legal Services, Sales, Operations as wellas the rest of the leadership team. Polymaths are therefore welcome!

What wed like to see (Bonus):

• Prior experience within technology-driven creative background £5m - £10m+ turnover
• Some experience with BI tools and data visualisation projects would be of benefit.
