Job Description

Finance DirectorSavant is closely working with one of the fastest growing Factual Entertainment broadcast distributors. Reporting to the Divisional CEO with a line to the Group CFO, this role is a great opportunity to join a growing international business.Key financial responsibilities:

  • Lead Finance Function and partner with Senior Management in decision making process for Distribution division
  • Report divisional position to parent company, manage reporting requirements communicated from Parent including budget, performance, and financial acquisitions
  • Produce and manage flow of financial information in a clear and robust manner to senior management and to HQ
  • Oversee annual budget and forecast process
  • Manage/report on cash flow and identify pressure points. Adjust spend as necessary to remain cash positive
  • Sign off management reporting and commentary on variances, and present to Senior management
  • Ensure systems, records and controls are maintained in accordance with IFRS standards, and group policy
    • Key broadcast responsibilities:
  • Financial review of product acquisitions, in consultation with CEO on the details of the acquisitions themselves before sending to Finance Committee for sign off
  • Input into long term strategy and key decision making around investment and commercial proposals
  • Final sign off on Producer reports on a quarterly basis
  • Approve all sales deal terms and acquisition deal terms before execution
  • Report on sales performance to the sales team, and the management team, tracking coverage of targets
    • Key project responsibilities:
  • In liaison with CEO, focus on identifying efficiencies and strategic goals, including team incentives, acquisition performance analysis and measurement of business KPIs
  • Ad hoc project work including systems and the following for 2021:
  • SUN migration
  • RT migration
  • Materials & deliveries tender
  • Banking and FX trading review and account consolidation
    • Key people responsibilities:
  • Manage management, ensuring team are motivated, and their personal development and corporate goals are achieved. Help set their targets and manage throughout the year.
  • Preparation of payroll and pension contributions
  • Approval of expense claims
  • Oversee finance aspects of HR, advising DS on payroll impact and considerations and managing holiday and absence tracking
    • The next Finance Director will have:
  • Operated as a finance leader in broadcast / content rights
  • Have experience of managing change
  • Present budget and market forecasts
  • Support the CEO and allow time to lead the team
  • Project skills in systems migration
  • Can be based wherever, offices in London
