Finance Assistant 12m FTC, Central London - £27,000, hybridA well-known theatre based in Central London are looking for a new Finance Assistant to join their production finance team for a 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the performing arts and is perfect for someonelooking to work in a creative environment. You will be a junior accountant studying for their accountancy exams. This role requires some experience in a previous finance role but is well suited to candidates looking to broaden their knowledge and work in avaried position. We will be working quickly to shortlist for this role and will currently only consider candidates on a short notice period. If you feel comfortable disclosing this information, please let us know.Your Role* To work with the Management Accountant to keep current year show forecasts accurate as new information becomes available.* To assist with monitoring and reconciling actual spend on shows and workshops, with a focus on reconciling actors subsistence costs and providing variance analysis and commentary as appropriate.* To assist with the sign-off process for new shows, including setting up coding, uploading budget journals, and disseminating cheat sheets and budgets.* To support month-end processes, including posting show forecast journals, reviewing open purchase orders and reconciling actual costs.* To maintain the departments non-financial data and post to the finance system regularly.* To keep the show budget forecasts up to date with accurate labour costs.* Following a shows closure, to assemble the information required to complete the Theatre Tax Credit calculation.* To compile weekly staffing from the scheduling system and reconcile it against staff contracts.
