Finance Analyst £45,000 - £50,000 + great benefits & study support Hybrid Working (2 office / 3 home split) Central London As a finance Analyst you will play a crucial role in supporting central processes and the Retail arm of the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Business Controller for London, you will work collaboratively with fellow Finance Analysts, Business Controllers,and the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to model and understand the impacts of business decisions. Your responsibilities will include month-end reporting, weekly reporting, ad-hoc requests, and contributing to the preparation of quarterly forecastsand annual budgets. This role will also involve financial accounting tasks, such as balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with financial audits.The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical and excel skills as well as accounting skills, and business partnering abilities. Knowledge of the Retail industry is desirable, and organisational skills, along with an entrepreneurial spirit,will be key in driving the business forward during a period of substantial growth. Study support finances will be provided to support your professional development.Responsibilities:

• Production of weekly reports, including sales performance and KPIs.
• Journal posting to support the month-end process.
• Assistance in the production of monthly Management Accounts.
• Reconciliation of Takings Accounts.
• Calculation and posting of Sales journals, including VAT breakdown.
• Maintenance of controls over accounting transactions, particularly sales, costs of sales, and staff.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Management and maintenance of Trial Balance, including Prepayment/Accrual and Accounts Payable and Receivable schedules.
• Ad hoc projects and analysis to support Business Controllers.
• Record, file, and report all daily/monthly financial transactions.
• Post and reconcile weekly payments received.
• Support Business Controller with month-end duties, budgeting, forecasting, and annual audits.
• Flexibility to travel to offices in London and Somerset as needed to foster a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications, experience, and skills - essential/desired:

• Part-Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or 3 years Industry experience
• Preferable Retail industry background
• Strong Excel knowledge - Able to deal with large data sets.
• Thorough knowledge of technical accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in establishing new processes and procedures.
• Ability to understand key accounting concepts and balance study with exam preparation and progression.
• Excellent business partnering skills to support Business Controllers.
• Strong analytical skills.
