Job Description

A leading asset management firm (over 800bn AUM) is looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join their successful costs team in Central London, providing functional and analytical support for the Financial Analysis Team and the wider Finance Function.Reporting to the Head of Analysis, this is a hybrid position allowing for flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.WHAT YOULL DOThis is a busy role with lots of variety, so youll be the kind of person who enjoys keeping on their toes and using initiative. The main responsibilities include:

  • Produce monthly MI and commentary for the CFO, Executive Committee and Operations Management Committee
  • Working with the finance management team you will analyse, and review discuss expenditure
  • Analyse and review monthly cost figures
  • Lead on the annual costs forecast/annual budget process
  • Work with the wider business to plan spending
  • Interact with BNYM where appropriate to explain costs
  • Work with head of FA to ensure appropriate cost control and smooth operation of processes
  • Proactively analyse and cleanse cost data to allow automation and to create opportunities for improvement
  • Provide ad-hoc support to both the CFO and Head of Financial Analysis on various analysis requests which could extend beyond the costs team (e.g. revenue)
  • Work with analysts across the globe (US & India)
  • Present analysis at board level
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Ideally a 2:1 degree or above
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • 5+ years post qualification with cost experience in a finance function
  • Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management is preferable
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Anaplan and Tableau is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
