Job Description

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a leading renewable energy firm on their next Finance Accountant hire.This company, based in London, has a proven track record in the industry and has a strong pipeline of projects in development, leading to plenty of future opportunities in this role.Culture wise you will be joining a professional and talented team who is committed to combatting climate change, so you will need to have experience or an interest in this area.This Finance Accountant role would suit a newly/recently qualified Accountant who has strong management accounting experience looking after a portfolio of entities.Day to day of this Finance Accountant role:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for a portfolio of renewable energy SPVs and investments in different currencies and jurisdictions
  • Provide commentary on budget and forecast variances
  • Prepare monthly consolidations for sub-groups and statutory financial statements
  • Provide information and liaise with auditors
  • Work with overseas service providers to ensure accuracy of financial information
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare reports for external debt providers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms
  • Apply technical accounting and regulatory knowledge to preparation of financial reports and updating and implementing accounting procedures and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications for this Finance Accountant role:
  • Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA, ideally 1-2 years PQE and graduate with 1st class academics
  • Strong experience in management accounting and reporting in fast paced, growing businesses
  • Experience with reporting and consolidating across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
  • Exposure/experience within the renewable energy sector is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Must be hands-on, multi-tasker with excellent time management skills able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Foreign language skills would be an advantage in Dutch, German, Polish and Swedish
