Position: Service Technician Reporting to: Project Delivery and Service Manager Location: UK with travel to Ireland MAIN ROLE The Service Technician will be responsible for the successful assembly, service, inspection, and maintenance of all heat rejectionproducts. Reporting to the Project Delivery and Service Manager, and as part of the Center of Excellence team, you will strive to deliver best-in-class service and maintenance activities. Our service technicians spend significant time in front of valued customers,serving as key frontline professionals representing core values and quality products and services. Your professionalism, both written and verbal, will be essential. In addition to UK visits, you will spend time in Ireland, both Republic of Ireland and NorthernIreland, potentially 1 week per month, depending on service requirements. You will be technically competent and trained to assemble, repair, and maintain all products, conducting detailed condition surveys for efficient and reliable operation. We aim to expandthe Service Divisions capabilities, providing training and on-the-job experience. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Full range of inspection, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and cleaning services of Cooling Towers. Professional communication with clients toenhance the companys reputation. Leading subcontractor activities. Fault finding to component level. Repair work, including spare part replacement. Pre-commissioning checks. Cooling Tower cleaning & chlorination. Re-painting. Administration Comfortable withvarious communication devices. Completion of visit reports, survey reports, and all required documentation. Preparation of weekly/monthly expense claims. Van stock management. Attendance at regular service team meetings. PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Reports to theNational Projects Manager. Regular communication with various stakeholders, including BAC sales, back-office support, customers, and BAC Headquarters departments. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Mechanical engineering degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experiencein HVAC/Refrigeration/Industrial Cooling. Valid CSCS card and first aid course certificate. Desirable accreditations: SSSTS, Confined space, Asbestos training, Working at height, Legionella awareness, UKAS Chlorination certificate, Safety Harness Training.Curious with a technical affinity, eager to learn client products and services. Engineering mindset with good commercial understanding. Customer-oriented with first-class listening and interaction skills. Result & quality-focused, accustomed to working inan engineering center of excellence. Initiative and willingness to get the job done.
