Job Description

Coopman Search and Selection are thrilled to be partnering with one of our significant clients who provide full spectrum investment, wealth management and family-office services to their international U/HNW clients located around the world.As a FI Credit Analyst (Public Market Debt ~ Sovereign & Corporate), you will report to the Head of Fixed Income in the London office. Initially undertaking credit research and analysis across public market sovereign and corporate credit universes,you will be provided with training and mentorship from a talented and experienced team, transitioning your career into a portfolio management role.Industry Experience:

  • At least 5 -7 yrs experience in a Fixed Income environment.
  • Ideally from a Credit Research background (Rating Agencies - S&P/Moodys/Fitch or Asset Management fixed income junior analyst).
  • Paramount to know Public Market ~ Corporates/Sovereign Bonds wellThe team needs a specialist FI CREDIT ANALYST, who is keen to grow/transition into portfolio management.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Build on existing FI (Sovereign/Corporate) Credit research skills and be responsible for coverage of a number of third-party fixed income funds.
  • Take on responsibility of running fixed income model portfolios.
  • Trade on client portfolios (T-bills and IG credit).
Core Requirements/Skills:
  • Demonstrated career-building commitment (not job-hopping).
  • Good Excel skills to compile/crunch data (not necessarily programming).
  • Good Bloomberg skills (use of PORT & FI related functions)
  • Strong detail focus (with emphasis on Risk).
  • Articulate, strong communicator with people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.
  • Client-Facing engagement from early on and requirement to present to internal audiences = Input from a FI, FX and Global Macro perspective to Investment Committee.
Qualifications:
  • Ideally CFA level 2 or better.
  • Preference for strong investments/commerce/finance Under & Post-Grad qualifications.
