Job Description

Our client, a law firm based in the city are looking for a Facilities Technician to join the team. You will work in a team of 8 and your main purpose will be to assist the facilities and service desk team to ensure a seamless, efficient and top level serviceis provided at all times. You will support the Facilities Manager and Team Leader ensuring high standards are met and maintained and premises comply with the correct H&S regulations. You will have worked within a law firm, bank or professional services environmentpreviously, have a keen eye for detail, have a flexible can do attitude, and be a strong communicator.Duties will include:

  • Opening, sorting and dispatching of mail
  • Daily meetings with FM to plan day & week requirements
  • Assisting service desk with calls and e-mails
  • Security fob production
  • On-site maintenance requests
  • Booking contractors for work repairs
  • Small DIY tasks - painting/decorating/general repairs
  • Installation of pictures, pin boards, coat hooks etc
  • Setting up and maintaining internal meeting rooms
  • Ensuring pluming is all in working order
  • Office moves
  • Meeting room set ups
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers & engineers regarding on site work
  • Receive, record and relay messages
  • Document production
  • Tracking of project issues
  • Administrate the PAC security and CCTV systems
  • Assist in the preparation of emergency/contingency plans
  • Locker database administration
  • Ensure compliance with H&S regulations & emergency procedures
  • Make sure health and safety policy is up to date
  • Assist and coordinate manual handling, first aid and fire training
  • Attend to any spills/accidents on site
