Job Description

At an exciting time of development for the company, our Facilities Management Department is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to oversee the Facilities Management functions and strategic projects for Lidl GB. The Project Manager willbe responsible for major disciplines such as air conditioning, BMS, lifts etc., cost planning, tendering contracts, leading new projects and national roll outs and support the Regional Facilities Managers. It is an exciting opportunity to join the FacilitiesManagement Team to maintain and service our growing store portfolio.What youll do

  • Managing end-to-end strategic Facilities Management projects at national level
  • Work with the Procurement/Store Construction Teams to ensure the selection and appointment of external vendors, including running and participating in the negotiation / tendering of contracts, to ensure cost effective supply of all goods and services
  • Manage and monitor external suppliers and contractors performance and analyse on-going expenditure costs / savings
  • You will ensure the facilities are maintained to a high standard and that all statutory regulations and internal procedures are fulfilled
  • Supporting our regions and Regional Facilities Managers across the UK to work on Service Specification, Performance Management Models and Cost Benchmarking
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing and presenting concepts up to Board level
What youll need
  • Strategic national level multi-site Facilities Management is essential
  • Relevant practical Building Services/Facilities Management experience from a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant qualifications/degree in Facilities Management, Project Management or other
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract management and tendering
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple complex strategic projects at a national level
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Strong presentation skills and experience of presenting to senior management
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Power point and Excel
  • Full valid driving license
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% with the occasional overnight stay
  • German language, desirable but not essential
