Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Facilities/Maintenance Manager to join our clients private office space in Belgravia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team as theyre about to undergo a refurbishment to turn their 5 floored, beautiful Grade1 listed building into office space with an added residential floor.Job title: Facilities ManagerLocation: Belgravia, LondonDuration: Ongoing temporary - rolling contractHours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000As Facilities Manager it is your responsibility to provide reliable, timely and efficient support to the team by planning and practising a diverse workload. You will also be a main point of contact during an office refurbishment, supporting with projectmanagement and liaising with contractors. Your main duties will include, but not be subject to

  • Assist and support the team during a 12 month building refurbishment, working between the building site and temporary office space. Assisting with general site works, logistics, deliveries, overseeing and assisting with installations, testing and commissioning,handover and O&M manuals
  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Ensuring fire escape routes, doors, lights etc are in good health and condition at all times
  • Ensuring all plant and equipment across the office is in good health and operational at all times
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment that is not under the remit of an FM contractor
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing the FM suppliers when extensive repairs/maintenance are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and correcting them wherever possible
  • Ensuring the fire alarm panel is always good health and operational
  • Relocate furniture as directed by the office manager
  • Advise and manage office refurbishments as directed by the office manager
  • Assist other departments as required during busy times, ie office management, IT and reception, including running errands, purchasing or collecting items required by visitors or guests as directed by the office manager
  • Ensure all windows are locked and lights are switched off daily before exiting the building
  • Ensure all lights are switched on daily when entering the building
  • Assist with any deliveries to ensure that they are sent to the correct departments and locations within the building upon arrival and advise the team of any deliveries
Required knowledge, experience, and skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position (Facilities / Maintenance Manager)
  • Experienced managing suppliers and stakeholders
  • A keen interested into personal and professional development - there is a large opportunity of growth in this position
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Great communication skills with a team player attitude
  • Good understanding, knowledge and relevant training in fire safety, H&S, building/mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word and Office and CMMS system
