Job Description

New temporary role available for Facilities and Maintenance Assistant for a prestigious college based in North London. This role is starting immediately on a weekly pay temporary basis.Are you a Maintenance Assistant looking for a new role We are recruiting for a Facilities and Maintenance Assistant for a static role based in a college in North London near Hampstead.This is a temporary postwith a varied role and a diverse team to work within. You will be working in-house, for a vibrant college, within 5 buildings based all in one location near Hampstead in London.Within this Maintenance Assistant role you will be:

  • Responsible for general maintenance on the college buildings, this could include basic DIY, making furniture and general repairs on the campus.
  • You will be responsible for general porterage duties including opening and closing the building
  • You will be liaising with members of staff and also students on site
  • Helping with deliveries
  • Making sure the buildings are safe for staff and students
  • Daily checks of buildings
  • Working as a team.
We are looking for a facilities operative with a mix of both office and manual experience. Some maintenance and building repairs experience would be ideal. You must also be a team player and be someone who wants to help and respond to requests from studentsand staff.You will be working on a day shift on a moving rota, 35 hours per week. The will include a late shift until 11.30pm 1 week in every 5, and Saturday working 1 in every 5 weeks.This is the ideal role for a maintenance assistant looking for their next role within a stable and welcoming environment. Ideally you will be able to start this role straight away.The salary range is the hourly rate equivalent of 27,000 for this position.
