Experienced Social Worker - Children and Families Teams - Devon County Council. This is a full time temporary role (37 hours per week) lasting for a minimum of 3 months. Vacancies are available in Barnstaple, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Exeter, Tiverton andTotnes. About the role/team:DCCs Children and Families Teams work with child in need, child protection and court cases. Caseloads are low, at 18 (depending on complexity) and all caseloads above 18 will be reviewed regularly by senior management. This is afriendly and supportive team, with management present for any assistance 5 days a week. Experience Required: Working and reporting within a court environment.Essential Requirements: Eligible to work in the UK. Hold a full UK licence (essential) - Devon isa mostly rural county, and as their localities cover a large area accordingly you would be expected to travel some distance between visits. Devon therefore require the successful candidate to have access to their own suitable transport.
