Job Description

This is a Business Development role within IHS Markits Financial Services Solutions division, residing with the Commercial Strategy team in Loans/Credit-focused solutions, serving the buyside client segment. This individual will execute commercial strategygoals in close collaboration with Product, Sales and Marketing. This role will report to Vice President, Commercial Strategy, Credit Solutions, working closely with Liquid Credit and Private Debt vertical leads. The Solutions Division within IHS Markit isa fast paced, highly collaborative, and results-driven group within IHS Markits most strategic and fastest growing division. We provide industry-leading software and outsourcing services across the front-to-back office lifecycle for liquid and illiquid markets.The capabilities are designed and delivered across thinkFolio, iLevel, WSO, Clearpar and EDM products. Our focus for the buyside front-office user base is synthesizing content and workflows to simplify portfolio monitoring, construction and idea implementationat scale. Our vision is anchored on the principles of user empathy, efficiency and desktop interoperability. The solutions and products we provide give our customers a richer view of their world and the insights they need to make smarter decisions. What YoullDo: Create the go-to-market sales strategy for the Credit Front Office Solutions, which will include a total addressable market analysis, defining prospects target, refining our pricing strategy and outlining our value proposition for different customer typesCollaborate with customers and design partners who are Portfolio Managers, Traders, Credit Analysts and Compliance Managers Working with the other Commercial Leads and Product Management teams to provide input to the strategic front-office vision and deliveryroadmaps. Champion for the front-office product requirements - both the short and long-term horizons. Combine the strengths our front-office and credit life-cycle solutions portfolio while cultivating and leveraging complementary capabilities delivered throughour evolving 3rd party alliance ecosystem Work with sales engineering to refine the product demos that are given to prospective clients Partner with sales on opportunities to ensure we are selling into the right target audience Review, update, and manage salesenablement collateral Conduct regular check-ins with client management Communicate prospect and client feedback to the product teams Create visibility and education around our business, with a specific focus on our Integrated Service offering Identify thoughtleadership events and organize roundtable discussions with the support of sales and marketing Partner with marketing to develop thought pieces, case studies, newsletters, surveys, marketing campaigns, and press releases Partner with the other Commercial Leadsto identify and cultivate strategic alliances that can enhance the commercial viability and competitive positioning of our solutions Educate sales, client management, and broader IHS Markit teams on our value proposition, our competitors, and how we are positionedto win Bring the 360-degree knowledge and voice of the customer/market Attend product roadmap meetings and understand other adjacent products What Youll Get: Challenging and rewarding work An incredible team of smart and mission-driven people to work withCompetitive Compensation & Benefits Deep transparency into business strategy and operations What Youll Need: 5-7+ years experience in Credit software solutions Business Development or Product Marketing, or significant prior experience working as a CreditPortfolio Manager or Credit Product Specialist for an investment manager (High Yield/Loans/CLOs) Deep understanding of typical workflows and challenges facing front office user personas 5+ years experience working within Credit/Portfolio Management/Tradingsoftware and outsourcing services at a financial services company Strong grasp of measures and tools relevant for pre and post trade credit/Fixed Income portfolio analysis (e.g. ex-ante risk, security analytics & performance attribution) Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence internal and external stakeholders Curiosity to analyze data and develop meaningful commentary explaining trends in our business Experience working in a growing global organization Strong time managementand project management skills Experience in creating product promotion materials, articles and public speaking Exceptional organizational skills A Plus If You Have: Direct Front Office practitioner experience as Portfolio Manager, Trader or Credit AnalystDirect experience with the following software applications: Black Mountain/Everest, Charles River, Blackrock Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM or similar Experience with multi-sector Fixed Income and/or across broader multi-asset class portfolio management and tradingteams Experience with software design using AI and NLP technologies Previous experience with Salesforce Network of front office credit management and/or alternative asset management contacts Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of IHS Markit,and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
