THE OPPORTUNITY:Macildowie are currently recruiting for an EA to a Chairman working for a small organisation based in Leicestershire. This role requires an individual who can provide an excellent service to the Chairman in a range of areas and ensures discretion at all times.This is a permanent full time position.THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Handle tasks at all levels to support the Chairman as required in his busy day-to-day activitiesPerforming a diverse range of executive level administrative duties including managing calendars, composing correspondence, arranging travel plans and providing agenda and minutes for meetingsResponding to the Chairmans correspondence by email and postProviding administrative support for the Chairmans Charitable Foundation and the many Advisory Boards that he works withSupporting all Board Meetings by creating the agendas, relevant papers and compiling the minutes and actionsAttending internal and external meetings on the Chairmans behalf and ensuring the Chairman is fully informed of the discussed topics and follow up actionsEnsuring the Chairman meets all commitments and deadlines by keeping them informed of upcoming eventsHandling queries from people at all levels, including important visitors, fellow staff members and industry specialists and public sector officialsLiaising with other departments within the company to obtain any information or data requiredCarrying out projects or research to help compile detailed reports and presentation materialsManage the Chairmans time and responsibilities effectively and efficientlyRegional travel required to support conferences and events, particularly when the Chairman is required to speak at eventsBooking of UK and international travel, including all transport, accommodation, and other particularsEXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: In order to be considered you must have the following experience:Significant previous experience in an Executive Assistant or Senior Personal Assistant roleA high level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretionExcellent organisational skills ability to multi-task is vitalExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle pressure and work to tight deadlinesExperience of compiling board level reports and detailed briefing packsExcellent interpersonal / communication skills including professional written and verbal communicationsCompetent with Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience of event planning preferred but not essentialExperience of managing projects is desirable but not essentialProfessional appearance which reflects the Chairmans exceptional standards, both internally and at external eventsMacildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
