Permanent, Full TimeMy client a well established and reputable trade association membership body is currently looking for an Events Organiser.If you are an events officer, events coordinator or events organiser with experience working for a trade association, professional body or similar membership organisation, experience of supporting large member conferences and also events for senior people we would love to hear from you.The RoleTo assist the Events Manager and the wider Events team in the development of a comprehensive training and events programme throughout the UK in a timely, creative, and effective manner.To support the Events Manager in being proactive in anticipating members’ training and development requirements and produce a cost effective and timely annual training programme which is relevant to members’ needs.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrganisation of workshops, e.g. one-day and half day courses/ seminars, breakfast briefings and webinars, and provision of support for regional events around the UK.Providing on-site support for courses and conferences across the UK, including registration of delegates, briefing speakers and chairs. This involves overnight stays at least twice a month and travelling to and from venues.Liaison with venues, establishing catering requirements, meeting room logistics and booking accommodation for speakers.Marketing courses to the membership with assistance from both the Events Marketing Executive and the Business Development and Marketing Executive.Liaising with speakers and sponsors over the submission of programme materials and presentations for the events.Liaising with suppliers, AV company, brochure designers, printers, mailing house and speaker agencies.Liaising with the film company over the onsite filming and production of the course for the events for which they are responsible.Assist in the production of training budgets and assist in overseeing the expenditure and financial control for the annual training and events programme.Assist in monitoring, analysing and reporting on financial performance, quality of events and delegate numbers throughout the year, taking agreed appropriate action where necessary.Assist in striving to exceed financial income targets set for the Events service area.Assembling and producing the relevant delegate packs.Producing joining instructions for events.Monitoring of delegate numbers.Monitoring and analysis of feedback from delegates at courses and conferences, reporting back to speakers and relevant committees, and utilising the feedback for service improvement.Design internally produced brochures and flyers.Maintenance of up-to-date speaker database.Assist in the production of reports from e-target database as required to assist with the marketing function for events.Updating the courses area of the website and creating conference pages.The PersonA graduate or of similar calibreEvents officer, events coordinator, events organiser experience of a trade association, professional body or similar membership based organisationExperience supporting large member conferencesExperience of organising events for senior level peopleExtensive experience of arranging and co-ordinating a range of events eg.
