About All Souls Langham PlaceAll Souls Langham Place is a dynamic and large evangelical church located in the heart of Londons West End. Hosting approximately 2000 events annually across its campus, All Souls is dedicated to promoting the gospel to the city of London and to the world.It’s home to a large and vibrant congregation and a campus that includes three buildings. With 33 different halls, gyms, lecture rooms, and more. All Souls Langham Place serves as a hub for both Christian ministry and venue hire.Role summaryWe are seeking a motivated Events Coordinator for external events to join our Events Team and work collaboratively with the current Events Team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of external hires in our spaces, helping the teambalance internal ministry needs with hires, and contributing to the overall success and financial sustainability of All Souls Church.The Events Coordinator is a vital part of All Souls staff, supporting the churchs ministry and engaging with the staff, church officers, and wider church family to realise our vision. You will entail active involvement in church life, including staff fellowship,prayer groups, occasional Prayer Gathering attendance, and representing the church externally when necessary.Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for external hires of All Souls facilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse range of events and programs.
  • Assess current events processes to help continue to improve them for external clients
  • Work with the Events Manager to ensure that external hire and internal ministry remains appropriately balanced.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance the reputation of All Souls as a premier venue.
  • Uphold the visions and values of All Souls Church in interactions with clients
  • Develop a marketing plan that promotes All Souls as a sought-after venue for events and work with the Communications Team and Events Manager to see it come to life
  • Use various channels to reach potential clients and partners, ensuring a consistent and positive brand image.
  • Manage the website and promotion of West One Spaces, our external hire site
  • Work with the Events Manager to set sensible revenue targets and then achieve them through effective pricing strategies and negotiation.
  • Work with the Events Manager to envision a sustainable future for external hires at All Souls and then develop and implement this vision.
  • Oversee the coordination of events, ensuring smooth logistics and excellent execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to schedule and manage the use of facilities for external events.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations related to venue hire.
  • Draft and negotiating contracts with clients for the Event Manager to review, safeguarding the interests of All Souls.
  • Work collaboratively with both the Events Team and the wider All Souls Staff to ensure that external events partner with other ministry objectives
  • See the work as a part of the mission of All Souls Church and God’s kingdom
Person specification
  • Must be a committed Christian, in sympathy with the evangelical theology of All Souls
  • Must have good people skills and excellent communication, particularly with the Events Team
  • Must be able to balance lots of different tasks and directives
  • Must be willing to be flexible and adaptable as the needs of the team and the wider church shift
  • Must demonstrate integrity and honesty in their interactions
  • Must be able to take responsibility for projects and work to complete them
  • Must show initiative and be able to identify problems, propose solutions, and implement them.
  • Proven experience in event coordination, sales, and venue management.
  • Good understanding of the events industry and venue hire practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to achieving revenue targets.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.
