SummaryHistoric England is seeking an Evaluation Analyst to work in our Analytics Department. If you are looking for a career-building opportunity to use your project management, research and analytical skills to help evaluate the impact of Historic England`sprogrammes then this is the ideal opportunity for you.This is a 24-month fixed term contract.This opportunity is based in either one of our National offices or home working.What you will be doing:You will play a valuable role within the Socio-Economic Analysisand Evaluation Team at Historic England, helping the organisation, as well as the wider sector, to ensure heritage policy and interventions are rooted in robust evidence and analysis. You will work in close collaboration with internal and external partnersto design research and evaluation projects that robustly measure efficacy and the impact of Historic England`s and partners` activities.There are opportunities to apply research and evaluation skills to a wide range of projects involving people, places andthe historic environment. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of programmes, ranging from area-based regeneration schemes, cultural programming and community engagement, through to conservation and repair projects.You will be joiningan interdisciplinary team to develop and design monitoring and evaluation frameworks both that demonstrate the economic, social and environmental impact of Historic England`s activities and that are strongly aligned with the Public Value Framework and HM Treasury`sMagenta Book and Green Book.You will work on specific research and evaluation projects with Historic England colleagues, partners in government, universities and research institutes, the heritage sector and beyond to ensure that the wider social and economicbenefits of the historic environment are widely captured, understood and disseminated.We are looking for someone with: An academic and/or professional qualification in a relevant subject experience. (E.g. social sciences such as economics, human geographyetc.) or equivalent experience. Experience of undertaking research or evaluation projects that translate evidence requirements into robust specifications that will meet stakeholder needs. Demonstrable project management skills and experience. Familiarity witha broad range of research and evaluation methodologies (see HMT`s Magenta Book).
