Technical Operations Manager / Operations Technology Manager / European Technical Operations Manager / Head of IT - Manage / Oversee Technical Operations across Europe / EMEA GLOBAL MANUFACTURING / CHEMICAL LEADER - FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITYSalary / Package: NEGOTIABLELocation: Europe / RemoteWith 50+ sites across Europe, location of the successful candidate is flexible.Our Global Manufacturing / Chemical client are looking to hire an Operations Technology Manager to lead and manage the technical operations across EMEA/Europe. Due to continuous growth and several business acquisitions, this is a newly established position. This is a critical hire for the company and they are looking for someone to increase the application of contemporary operations technologies to its manufacturing processes, to deliver higher standards, more reliable systems, and improved equipment efficiencies. The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to drive and operational technology projects.This role will work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and IT to manage and execute the workload for the OT team. This role will also participate in decision making and technology selections for the advancement of process automation, machine data analytics, and utilization of IoT devices to ensure the EMEA manufacturing sites are progressively applying contemporary technologies to their processes with measurable benefits in efficiencies.The ideal candidate will have relevant industry / sector knowledge, ideally in Manufacturing - Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals. At least a first degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and ideally have experience in large volume, chemical based, manufacturing processes.The ideal candidate will have the following experience:• Extensive knowledge of control system implementation (DCS and PLCs) and related architecture. • Extensive knowledge of implementing OT related network environments LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, mophie bus, Microsoft AD, VPN, Firewall, etc.• Extensive knowledge of process instrumentation, project management and database management (SQL); Windows server O/S and Windows Client O/S.projects. • Evidence of having delivered original thinking and solutions to process management problems. • Evidence of working successfully in several European countries. • Knowledge of European guidelines, norms, and standards in the field of automation and digitalization (e.g., NAMUR association). • Knowledge of PMP, Prince2 or equivalentIf this sounds of interest, please send your CV ASAP Required skills
