Job Description

Ref: 20982Your New Job Title: European speaking Business Development Executive - FMCGSalary: £32-36k depending on experience + benefitsReports To: Sales Development ManagerJob status: PermanentLocation: East London, with business travel to Europe countries when requiredSummary:The Business Development Executive is a supporting role to the manager in areas of promotion and implementation of key trade marketing initiatives, monitoring, analysing and reporting on sales programmes, gathering key market intelligence and providing supportto distributor and trade.Your Key Responsibilities:The main focus is to assist and support initiatives to drive distribution and build strong sales growth by working with distributor and trade customers, create innovative ideas and methods to win in-market support to stock and sell a wide range of products.Planning & Analysing

  • Assist with timely follow-up and implementation of key mainstream development strategies and development programmes
  • Ensure effective stock supply and availability across all relevant channels during both normal and promotional periods
  • Collate and track information on competitors prices and activities to support business planning
  • Analyse and evaluate results of promotional and marketing programmes implemented
Sales and Marketing Support
  • Assist with product demonstrations and presentations preparation to pitch into relevant key accounts
  • Represent company in cooking demonstrations at trade and consumer shows and customer meetings and events
  • Support other sales and trade marketing activities, routines, and paper work.
The Skills Youll Need to Succeed:
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, plus one European language. German is ideal but any other European language is considered.
  • Sales experience in Food / FMCG is essential
  • Must have a full driving licence (valid in UK or EU) as the job may involve driving.
  • Highly self-driven and motivated person with excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Must be of professional appearance and good interpersonal skills.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours as needs arise for certain occasions or events
  • Possess good MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point,etc) skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good organiser with excellent self-discipline
  • Previous experience with analysing data would be advantageous but not essential
  • Be a team player and assist colleagues in cross department when required
  • Chinese food lover / keen to cook with passion for food as a definite advantage
