Job Description

Estimating Assistant (12-month FTC)£35,000 - £38,00012-month fixed term contract role8:30am - 5:30pmCity of London - Hybrid working - Stunning Location, modern and creative officesIf you are an experienced estimating assistant with a background in fit-out/design or construction industries so that you can hit the ground running in the role. The position is to be a 12-month fixed term contract where you will be joining a friendly, fun,and collaborative office. Stunning location in the City of London with hybrid working. Duties:
  • Downloading and checking in new tender documents (printing as required)
  • DLM of tender documents throughout the entire tender period
  • Compilation of interactive tender and interview documents
  • Sitting with the team to act as an extra pair of hands-on busy submission mornings / interview days
  • Chasing subcontractor quotations
  • Gluing interviews and tender submission documents
  • Helping the estimator collate and PDF their pricing forms and schedules for submission
  • Printing and creating PDF copies of the tender submissions and programmes
  • Gluing hard copy tender submission documents for delivery
  • Support to the Document Controller; uploading drawings, updating Deltek PIM, holiday cover for general role (training will be given)
  • To assist the general office administration function as required
Is this you
  • Experienced administrator within estimating and must have industry knowledge - previously worked within office fit out, refurbishment or construction.
  • Must be very confident individual with exemplary organisation skills.
  • Exceptional prioritising tasks and managing workload.
  • Must have a flexible approach at dealing with many different types of personalities and strong management skills.
  • Excellent written English and the ability to proofread and amend documents.
  • Adobe InDesign would be beneficial along with Acrobat.
  • MS office, advanced Excel & Word, and outlook knowledge
