Job Description

Role Overview The role sits in the ESG team within our Property Management Division, focussing on delivering the ESG strategy for the division and supporting surveyors and site teams with ESG best practice implementation.The role will support site based property management teams in improving asset level sustainability performance, lead on strategic deliverables and support Surveyors and Client Relationship Managers with growing strong client relationships.The Savills Property Management Green Charter group set out to ensure delivery of services in line with the BBP Core Provisions across the division. This is evidenced by our wellbeingoffer, our capability to facilitate flexible working and our support to enjoy a healthy work life balance.This team has a flexible approach so please discuss what this might look like for your role in your discussions and interview.A growing, fast paced and friendly team, who work across the Property Management division to support all clients with asset level delivery of their ESG strategies and ensure consistent delivery of best practices.Key Responsibilities of the RoleThe successful candidate should have a holistic knowledge of environmental, social and corporate governance, sustainability issues and trends for the built environment.An ESG Manager will be required to undertake (including but not limited to);Manage, maintain, develop, communicate and implement the Sustainability Standards, ensuring the requirements of the standards evolve and progress.Produce tools and resources for the site teams to use in order to achieve the Sustainability Standards requirements.Assess and monitor the sectors sustainability performance at asset level, advising on priorities and on the implementation of interventions, benchmarking properties using the asset-type Sustainability Standards.Promote and enable a culture of improvement, encouraging and motivating property management teams to go above and beyond the minimum sustainability standards.Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders, share data and promote innovation.Understand our clients ESG requirements and help translate this to site level engagement and extraction of dataDevelop and deliver training materials, tenant engagement and communications.Produce case studies and marketing materials demonstrating team and asset level success. Share and encourage best practice within the sector and the company as a whole.Support, manage, drive, coordinate and champion new innovations in ESG and sustainability which may include template development, process improvements, quality and accuracy improvements, technology opportunities and case study promotion.Provide general sustainability support on environmental legislation, sustainability reporting, tenant engagement, ISO14001 & ISO50001, EPC/EPC Plus & MEES, health & wellbeing, waste management, travel planning, social value and biodiversity (referringwhere necessary to the Savills Earth team).Support assets undergoing assessments as necessary, potentially including BREEAM Refurbishment, SKA, NABERS, WELL, Fitwel, etc.Communicate through formal presentations and informal interactions.Produce written reports to a high standard.Develop in-depth knowledge of the Savills Earth services, and where appropriate make referrals.Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceStrong attention to detail and produces work to a high, consistent and accurate standard.Ability to independently prepare findings reports and presentations, and to identify new ways of working.Ability to develop lasting and effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.Customer orientatedability to be client facing; excellent communicator and presenter.Highly motivated individualwith drive for self-development.Excellent time management. Can deliver work under pressure and to fixed deadlines.Resourceful team worker, with ability to be autonomous in certain specialist fields.An evident passion for Sustainability.Good English, grammar, spelling and document checking skills.RequiredBSc/BA Degree in Sustainability or equivalent.Working towards a professional qualification IEMA or similar.At least 4 years experience within a Sustainability field.Experience of working with sustainability data, including knowledge of energy, water, waste & carbon.Completely IT literate with high level of competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.DesiredMSc or MEng in Sustainability or equivalent.Knowledge and experience of applying sustainability in the property sector.A high level of competence in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, experienced with data analysis with excellent attention to detail the ability to create complex formulas.
