Job Description

About our clientWe are working with an ESG and Impact native private equity investor looking to add to its ESG team with an ESG Associate to support the ESG Lead on supporting and developing all ESG activities across the firm and its portfolio companies. The role will be basedout of the firms London office. What the job involves

  • Assist with conducting pre-investment ESG analysis and diligence in prospective portfolio companies, and support on all ESG aspects of investment transactions.
  • Support and assist with ESG related post-investment portfolio company management, including on ESG action plan implementation, building ESG capacity, and encouragement of best practices.
  • Compile research and market analysis related to ESG considerations for the firm and its portfolio companies
  • Engage and collaborate with numerous internal stakeholders to ensure effective information and knowledge sharing across the firm
Who we are looking for
  • Possess core skills / experience around ESG risk identification and mitigation, and ESG value creation opportunities;
  • Be able to develop impact investment cases, identifying potential routes to impact, associated impact outcomes, and ultimate impact created;
  • Be comfortable with collecting and analysing ESG data, and preparing it for reporting purposes
  • Have a personal interest in the ESG performance of, and economic development and social impact created by portfolio companies for their target beneficiaries
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form
