A newly created position the role in general terms will support the various investment teams in identifying ESG issues and encouraging engagement activity across the sector. Ultimately the individual will drive ESG thought leadership across the wider Real Estate team. Specific to Real Estate the successful hire will help embed and improve ESG across both; Private Markets Existing Assets (deal sourcing, screening and due diligence) New development Projects (Supply chain, health & safety, waste management and modern slavery) Public Market Listed Real Estate Companies RIETs With regards to career background of this individual the client is flexible and someone may be currently working for an investor, a consultancy firm or a corporate. A clear understanding of Real Estate as an asset class is essential, alongside a passion and appreciation for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues effecting the sector.
