As a Barclays ER Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing end to end ER support and advice to managers and HR Business Partners within the ER Case Management Service Line. This will involve being one of the primary points of contact for one of the Barclays entities, but also involve matters across all Barclays businesses. Your support and advice will include complex disciplinaries, grievances, capability cases, sickness cases, flexible working, career break and policy related issues. What will you be doing • Providing ER advice and support in relation to a wide array of complex case matters directly to the business, up to and including ExCo-1 • Acting as an escalation point to other ER Case Managers, including reviewing and drafting of documentation • Supporting on the more high risk/ complex/ senior level cases, particularly involving regulatory matters, significant events, multi-jurisdictional cases • Assessing cases and providing advice on potential Conduct Rules breaches; acting as Chair in Conduct Rules Panels • Being a point of contact for specific EME locations involving working closely with EME HRBP/ D&A in providing advice on local cases such as Conduct Rule assessments • Liaising with ER Direct (outsourced provider of ER advice to managers), providing advice on case escalations and identifying areas for improvement • Working in partnership with EIP Legal to agree strategy for and manage response to litigation claims plus liaison and negotiations where necessary with external lawyers • Line management/ supervision is likely and will be allocated accordingly What were looking for: • Depth of ER technical skills, particularly in relation to complex case management, such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness management, exit management, etc. • Experience working in a regulatory environment • Influencing and negotiating skills - having the ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex and high risk cases • Computer literacy with knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packages and familiarity with handling and analysing data and MI Skills that will help you in the role: • Legal background • Union knowledge • People management experience • Experience in managing cross-border/ multi-jurisdictional cases Where will you be working In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
