Job Description

Senior/Environmental Health Officer (EHRB registered) -COVID19Career Grade PO2-PO4: Starting Salary £36,618 rising in annual increments to £45,594 per annum. The post is initial for 1-year fixed term contract, with a possibility of extension.Lambeth is culturally and economically diverse borough, with major redevelopment and regeneration across the borough. Lambeth is home to the iconic South Bank tourist area around the London Eye and Kia Oval cricket ground. Brixton has its vibrant, multicultural and diverse communities, with bustling markets, pop-up food events and Clapham best known for Clapham Common, a vast green space. Clapham Old Town is renowned for its village-like atmosphere.This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team working in response to Covid-19. A key role within this post to support the Councils Covid-19 prevention work and contact tracing in relation to any local outbreaks.You must be able to demonstrate your ability to receive and record information accurately and skills in report writing. You will be working on a project related to the current pandemic so prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines are key. Applicants must have a qualification in Environmental Health, be EHRB registered and have recent experience of working in a Local Authority setting.
