Job Description

Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) Advisor 12-month fixed term contract (potential to extend)£20- £24 per hourLondon/Maidenhead (either office)Hybrid: 2-3 days a weekRobert Walters is delighted to be partnered with a global software organisation on a environmental, health and safety position which will support the International Security Manager and Global EHS Manager by coordinating EHS efforts. This position will reportto the EMEA Security Manager in London.Key Responsibilities:

  • Help and support implementation of EHS programs within the organisation
  • Support in the development of EHS policies and procedures
  • Act as the Administrator for the local Emergency Response Team (ERT)
  • Act as the Administrator for regional ergonomic program per country specific laws and requirements.
  • Assist with risk mitigation through contingency planning and disaster planning/recovery.
  • Maintain records of training activities, chemical inventory, ergonomic requests, and other program-related records, and help monitor their effectiveness and compliance with all federal and local regulations.
  • Interact with members of staff on site, health and safety councils and senior management to identify any risks and/or hazards.
  • Participate in activities of related professional organisations to update knowledge of safety program developments
We would love to speak to health and safety professionals with the following;
  • Health and safety qualification (ideally diploma level or above.)
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principals, ideally applying this within a corporate background.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of a business with an understanding of how to influence behaviours to create a more proactively safe working environment.
  • Ability to identify and recognise unsafe conditions or work practices.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and be creative with engagement pieces
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organise
