Provide support to the delivery of globalenterprise programs.Primary Responsibilities Conduct technology assurance and governance. Ensure aligned to architecture policy and practicesMaximize the alignment & leverage reuse of technology, establish common solutions & optimize skills across QBE to achieve cost efficienciesDeliver or contribute to strategy, principles, policies and roadmaps for Enterprise events driven architecture in line with agreed timelines and QBE prioritiesUse standardized tools and approach to documenting enterprise architecture to ensure consistency across the teamActively promote and embed the architecture ways of working and due governance.Conduct research of emerging architecture and technology trends.Provide support during technology decision making activitiesContribute to Global forums for assigned business domains and identify opportunities to synergize across the QBE Group through global collaborationEstablish foundational enterprise solution architectures for assigned domains.Contribute to the investment roadmaps for assigned domains (e.g. Data, Digital, integration & infrastructure etc)Lead Solution Design Review Process for assigned domainsEnsure that Solution Architects have a good understanding of the strategic direction relating to the projects on which they are working.Establish and maintain effective relationships within IT, with internal business units and with external service suppliers to ensure the divisions technology direction meets the wider business objectivesDeliver foundational enterprise solution architectures via strategic projects.Shape the early stages of projects to produce the projects architecture vision, ensuring it is appropriately aligned with strategic directionContribute to the investment roadmapsLead Design Review Process for assigned projectsEnsure that Solution Architects have a good understanding of the strategic direction relating to the projects on which they are working.Proactively challenge business requirements and solution architectures where needed, and negotiate the best possible outcome for QBE taking into account both short and long term needsKey Skills & Experience: Proven ability to deliver events driven architecture in a large-scale fast-moving dynamic environment Experience of Events -driven Architecture technologiesKAFKA, AZURE, AWSProven ability to design Data architecture solutions on Azure platformsProven experience of problem analysis and design techniquesAbility to identify and quantify key areas of risk or complexityA basic understanding of the inter-operation of hardware, network and software components necessary for the delivery of complete, complex systemsExperience of working with third party service supplier / outsource providersAnalysis and evaluation skillsAbility to prioritise and organise work to achieve deadlinesAbility to manage impacts of parallel architecture programs to ensure that any risks are minimized.Good documentation skillsboth at a detailed and summary levelGood communication and interpersonal skills with an appreciation for an ability to communicate with and respond to the needs of diverse Audiences TOGAF v9 Certification Strong Working knowledge of Enterprise architecture: concepts, practices and toolsWorking knowledge of Digital, emerging and disruptive technology applicationsWorking knowledge of the overall current state and future IT strategy and how the future state is aligned to the business strategy
