Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of the curriculum.Provide classroom experiences centred around challenge and enjoyment for all students. Have knowledge and experience of using innovative pedagogical approaches within the classroom, including the use of technology. Preferably have knowledge and experienceof teaching EAL students. Be skilled in the use of both formative and summative assessment approaches. Provide critical analysis of the progress, intervention and achievement for all children.The English Department has seven full-time members of staff includingthe Head of Faculty. The department is state-of-the-art and resourced to a very high standard. There are dedicated English teaching rooms, where each member of the department has their own classroom. The classrooms are all equipped with computer, projectorand interactive boards. The department has its own office base for staff as well as two break out rooms.The department teaches the following qualifications: GCSE English Language (First language) GCSE English Language (Second language) GCSE English LiteratureA-Level English Language A-Level English Literature General EnglishWe are seeking an inspirational teacher with experience and a passion for English who: Has relevant experience to teach English through to KS5 /A Level. Has engaged with current pedagogy aroundEnglish language education, in particular supporting EAL students. Understands how to sequence, resource, adapt and refine areas of the curriculum. Takes responsibility for leading development and resourcing of an area of the curriculum. Open minded, energeticand adaptable to change. Committed, self-motivated and driven. An enthusiastic and hard-working team player. Organised, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
